How to use QR Code Generator
- 1. Enter your text or URL. Paste any link, message, or data — the QR updates as you type.
- 2. Customize. Pick a size, colors, and error correction level. Higher correction survives scuffs and partial damage.
- 3. Download. Save as PNG for print or SVG for crisp scaling at any resolution.
FAQ
Are these QR codes free to use commercially?
Yes. QR codes generated here are royalty-free — print them on business cards, posters, packaging, anything. The QR Code spec itself is in the public domain.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. Static QR codes never expire. The link or text is encoded directly into the pattern, so it works as long as the destination URL works.
Are my inputs sent to any server?
No. Generation happens entirely in your browser — nothing leaves your device.
What's the maximum amount of data I can encode?
Up to ~4,000 characters at the lowest error correction, but practical scanning works best under ~300 characters. For long URLs, use a link shortener first.
PNG or SVG — which should I download?
PNG for general use (Word, slides, social posts). SVG when you need to scale up for large prints or embed in design tools without losing sharpness.
